13. The Eyes of Tiresias

Elderly Audrey has a vivid dream of a Frenchman being shot dead, and it spookily becomes true the following day.

As does her next dream about another death… what’s going on?

As his windmill becomes the set for a crap-looking period drama, Jonathan finds himself on the trail of yet another explanation.

Meanwhile, Maddie opens the door to a potential ménage à trois with two hunky studs after mistakenly copping off with both within minutes of one another.

We analyse the story, dig up some location information and track down some barely believable real-world connections to details in the show.

Once again, long-dead William Topaz McGonagall (often described as the worst poet to have ever walked the earth) resurrects himself from the grave to watch the episode and pen some lines about it.

The Eyes of Tiresias was the second episode of series three of Jonathan Creek, airing on 4th December 1999.

Written by David Renwick and directed by Keith Washington, guest stars included Rebecca Front, Margery Mason, Terrence Hardiman, James Gaddas, Diana Weston, Paul Blackthorne and Damien Goodwin.
